Welcome to another review post on Roemer’s Workshop. Today I’m taking a look at the fresh iOS game taking place during the Horus Heresy, specifically during the Isstvan campaign right after the virus bombing of the Loyalist forces. At the end I’ll also list a few tactics I found to be effective for those who would like to start out this game. Check out the details after the jump.
Today I’m taking a look at the much debated Project Box, released by Games Workshop in November 2014. Seeing that the quality of Citadel tools is pretty high compared to local available items, I wanted to try out this box both as a replacement to my former rickety one and to conduct an honest review. Another reason was to replace the workstation I’ve used since the beginning of this blog in favor of something more compact and mobile. Take a look at some detail shots of the box and my comments after the jump.
In today’s review I’m tackling the new starter box set by Games Workshop that pits the Tyranids and Blood Angels against each other. As I mentioned in an earlier post this package is a perfect deal for those who would like to start out or simply expand their respective armies because it’s pretty cheap compared to the retail prices of the minis separately. Hop in to see what’s inside the box after the jump.
Welcome to the first review on Roemer’s Workshop! Today I’m breaking the trend of being outdated (GW is really giving me a hard time being up-to-date!) and have come up with a relatively new release to present: the Space Hulk miniature board game. Hop in to take a look at what’s inside after the jump.
Last time I mentioned that there are some interesting days ahead of me. And what do you know, it just happens that this year a long national holiday coincided with my birthday, getting me out of the office and into a long weekend! This is pretty much what I needed right after a hectic week with overtime work and I’m planning to make the most of it… you guessed it… in the hobby department! Find out what I got for the b-day and what will be on my bench for the near future after the jump.
Last week I mustered the courage to sift through the ever-growing heap of models I have which have collected some dust over the counters and in the open. The models include both the GW brand that I have prioritized as well as some old favorite scale models of planes and tanks from Revell. Read on to see my thoughts on the hobby and a remedy to the increasing-number-of-models-syndrome. (more…)
The past weekend I was looking forward to completing the Dreadknight project by finishing the force weapons, however I couldn’t decide on which technique to use and was unsure of the color scheme for all the blends. So I switched to the primed Maulerfiend sub-assemblies and started applying basecoats. Not the most exciting news to be honest but this lets me keep the work flowing. Find out my progress on this beast and the work plan after the jump. (more…)
