And what do you know, we’ve reached the 100th post in the Workshop! Time really does fly when you’re having fun. You’re in for quite a treat today. After quite a few weeks of inactivity I decided to get back to the hobby front in full force and start completing some projects at hand. And as promised, the next showcase following the Dreadknight is the Necron Lychguard, intended as a birthday gift to my fellow hobbyist Xasf. Took my sweet time on the models but in the end I’m content with the results. I also have some further news regarding the position I’ll take on the blog as well as some nice last WIP and showcase pics of the Lychguard, but for that you’ll have to make the jump!
Welcome to my review of the Salt Water Arachnoid Giant! This is definitely one of the best kits I’ve seen in quality or complexity compared to GW and similar miniature manufacturers. Due to the awesome details and showcasing opportunities I thought it would be nice to look at it a little closer. Take a look at the details of this kit after the jump.
Greetings! After a quick flight to Malaysia for business and a week filled with work I got myself to having some quality time both in the hobby department and in the company of friends. I also received the large package I ordered from Oversoul related to their recent business changes to add to my mountain of kits… what a backlog this will create! Hop in to see what I’ve been up to in my absence after the jump.
Another short update today. Due to a business trip to Malaysia I’ll have limited updates this week… so stay tuned for the posts rest of the week and the next! Lots of boxes and some WIP developments abound.
I’ll leave you with this beautiful stock vista of Penang!
Opening the workshop today with quite a gloomy weather in Istanbul. The past week and the weekend continued to offer me little time to spend on the hobby, so no painting post today, sorry. Instead, I delved into a mini that I’ve thought of for some time and spent some quality hours playing board games with my dearest friends over the weekend. Hop in to check out what I’ve been up to.
Happy new year to everyone from your favorite Workshop!
The servants of WordPress.com prepared a 2014 annual report for my blog. A pretty cool fact from the report for your leisure:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 9,700 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
Besides this I considered making a resolution post for 2014 and 2015 but there really are no additional highlights save for the finished Dreadknight and the Heldrake models and I already have mentioned my backlog in an earlier post… here’s to hoping that I’ll be able to keep up with it. Unless I get swayed by another brilliant miniature release by GW, this should be relatively easy to do.
So let me just wish my best for the holiday season for all and see you on the next post!
A change of pace at the Workshop here. Instead of project WIP announcements this time I’d like to share some other items of interest. If I can keep this up I may be able to turn this into a monthly update post on ongoing projects as well as events and activities I’m considering for the immediate future. Not sure how this will affect the pace I set for myself in the goal post but this is certainly going to be exciting on its own. Find out my (ever-changing) plans for the immediate future after the jump.
