Results of Poll on April 22nd – It’s a Random Encounter with Genestealers!

See what I did there? Yeah. Anyways, the results for my first poll attempt are out and the public has decided. Priority posting goes to the Space Hulk Genestealers and the Random Encounter! dwarf miniature after the showcase of the Lychguard which I hope to have published sometime next week, if not on Monday as scheduled. It seems my business schedule has finally started to clear a bit and I can normal working hours again – so I want to make the best use of what little time I may have.

Here’s the result page. For a time I thought the Maulerfiend would prevail following the Tyranids but fans of Random Encounter emerged quickly. Overall the poll got 32 hits which is not too shabby for the first attempt. Hoping for a better population pool to assess next time!

I’m planning to have the Genestealer posts consolidated into batch sessions as there are 22 of them plus their Broodlord and have the Random Encounter! mini as a more focused series where I practice some techniques I feared using. Exciting times I reckon, so stick around for a nice serving of painting.

Random Encounter Progress and The Call of the Waaagh!

This past weekend turned out to be quite an opportunity to work on some long overdue stuff and dabble in even more new kits. As can be seen from the featured image I’m trying to get the skin tones done on the dwarf and I think I’m going in the correct direction. I doubt I’ll make it to the deadline of this Friday with still the many many folds of cloth and the NMM weapon remaining but I’ll try to do my best. Not to mention there’s a base that needs my attention as well! Find out what I’ve put together after the jump.

Review: Random Encounter!

Here we are once again with another review. For a time I thought this post would be overdue due to some horrible postage mishap but the gods of Chaos seem to be on my side once again. This time I’m tackling something rather different from the usual GW products: the Random Encounter! mini for the “contest” I’m participating in with the chaps at FigurinIstanbul.
